Given that I’ve worked at places where we would love to watch someone fall flat on their back before pointing and laughing....I’m betting that happened. Too many times for upper management to ignore. The ones that learned survived. It became a kind of Darwinism. With the fall of each bad manager cut a tie that would propagate trust falls.
